And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."  Jesus said, "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it"
                     Matthew 16:16 and 18.

Door to Door Ministry

The door to door outreach of RBC is taken from Matthew 28:18-20 where Jesus commands the local church to go everywhere and give the gospel to everyone.

Our door to door ministry is summarized by what we do, and what we do not do.

What we endeavor to do:

  1. Make a friendly attempt to speak with people personally and introduce who we are.
  2. Find out if people have a church home or a belief system they currently embrace.
  3. Ask if they know for sure where they will spend eternity when this life is over. Depending on their answer, we will ask if we can show them from the Bible what God provided so that everyone can be absolutely sure they are going to Heaven when this life is over.
  4. Leave a free copy of the Gospel of John and Romans along with a pamphlet explaining how to receive the free gift of everlasting life.
  5. Answer any questions that might be asked and offer to return if so desired.

What we do not do:

  1. We do not use high pressure talk or tactics.
  2. We will not engage in an argument. We will offer explanations from the Bible, but debating is not our desire or purpose.
  3. We will not put literature inside a mailbox or leave it where it may cause an injury, e.g. slipping, or a problem.
  4. We do not discuss politics. We try to keep the conversation centered around spiritual truths from the Bible.
  5. We do not bash other religions or belief systems. Disagreement can be done with kindness and respect. For example, The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to Heaven, but we also know that people need to be convinced of this truth by God's Spirit and not by man's persuasion.
